  • What is Skipping Workshops?
Skipping Workshops is a fun and engaging programme designed to teach children essential skipping skills, improve their fitness, and build confidence. Our sessions are led by experienced coaches who inspire children to enjoy physical activity through skipping.
  • Which age groups can take part?
We cater for mostly primary, but also secondary school children, from Reception to Year 11. We can also cater for Nursery children from Spring term. Sessions are adapted to suit different age groups and ability levels.
  • Do you work with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
Yes! We ensure our workshops are inclusive for all children, including those with SEN. We adapt activities as needed and work with teachers to ensure everyone can participate at their own pace.
  • How do we book a workshop?
Booking is simple! Just contact us, and we’ll arrange a suitable date for your school. We recommend booking early, as our workshops fill up quickly.
  • How long is each session?
Each workshop typically lasts 30-60 minutes per class, but we can tailor the timing to fit your school’s schedule.
  • How many children can take part at once?
In a typical day, a one-form entry school (up to 210 children) can take part, with one class at a time (up to 30 students). Half-day sessions are available for smaller schools, and larger schools can book additional days. If the space allows in your school, there is also an option to have two coaches, which can increase capacity and provide more engagement.
  • Do you provide skipping ropes, or do we need to supply our own?
We provide high-quality skipping ropes for use during the sessions. Schools can also purchase skipping ropes from us if they wish to continue practising after the workshop.
  • Do teachers need to be involved?
We require at least one teaching assistant to support our workshops, and encourage teachers to join in and help supervise the sessions too. It’s a great opportunity for them to pick up techniques to continue skipping activities after the workshop.
  • Can we include an end-of-day Skipping Assembly?
Yes! Schools can opt for an End-of-Day Skipping Assembly, where children from different year groups showcase the skills they've learned throughout the day. It’s a fantastic way to celebrate their achievements, inspire others, and bring the whole school together for a fun and engaging finale.
  • Do you have a Risk Assessment?
Yes! You can download our full Risk Assessment here.
  • Are your coaches DBS-checked?
Absolutely. All our coaches hold an Enhanced DBS Check and have experience working with children.
  • What safety measures do you have in place?
We ensure there is a safe, open space for skipping. All children receive a warm-up to prevent injuries. Coaches teach proper skipping technique and supervise closely. We adjust activities for different skill levels and needs.
  • What type of space is required?
We prefer an indoor space where possible for the safety of our coaches (and for reliability with the good old British weather!). If sessions are scheduled outdoors, please note that we may not always be able to accommodate rescheduling due to bad weather.
  • How much does a workshop cost?
Pricing depends on the number of sessions and your location. Please contact us for a quote. Discounts may be available for multiple bookings across the school year.
  • How do we pay?
We will send an invoice before the workshop, which must be paid via BACS, bank transfer or cheque within 14 days of the workshop date. If you need a PO Number, please let us know.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
We require 21 days' notice for cancellations. If a workshop cannot be rebooked, a cancellation fee may apply. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions of Business for more information.
  • What is National Skipping Day?
National Skipping Day is an annual event that encourages schools to celebrate skipping and take part in challenges. Schools can sign up to receive skipping activities and resources. Sign up here!
  • How can our school get involved in skipping competitions?
We encourage schools to track their highest skipping scores and challenge students to improve. We also run record-breaking challenges - check our leaderboards to see if your school can break a record!
